Impov theatre workshop in English with Julia Neuhoff continues on Ocotber 21st at 7 pm. Free to join, donations welcome.

Anger has a reputation. We’re often taught to control it, hide it, or apologize for it. But underneath anger there is usually something worth listening to: a boundary, a need, something that truly matters to us.
Join us for Underneath, an evening of improv, play, honest reactions, and discovering what anger has to tell us.
Date: 21.10.2026
Time: 19:00 – 21:00
Free to join, donations welcome
Most of us have a complicated relationship with anger. Some of us swallow it, some of us explode, and many of us learned early on that it’s better not to show it at all. Yet anger is also energy. It tells us when something matters, when a line has been crossed, or when it’s time to speak up.
Improv gives us a safe and playful space to meet that energy.
In this workshop, we will explore anger with curiosity rather than judgment, in a scene and beyond. We will start in the body, noticing how anger feels, moves, and sounds, and then bring it into play through characters, relationships, and scenes. We will play with holding back and letting go, with status and power, and with what changes when someone finally says what they mean.
Everything happens within the frame of play. We work with imagined situations and characters, not real conflicts, and we take time to let the energy settle before we go home.
Together, we will explore three questions:
• What is anger trying to protect or tell us?
• What happens in a scene, and in us, when anger is held back or allowed?
• How can we meet strong emotions with curiosity instead of fear?
You don’t need any improv or acting experience. The workshop is designed for curious humans who want to play, experiment, connect with others, and perhaps discover a slightly different relationship with anger.
Improv is our playground, but what we practice there doesn’t have to stay on stage.
