hug or handshake е инди рок/поп банда от София, в състав: Петър Трифонов, Антон Георгиев, Виктор Иванов и Ник Николаев. Всичко започва през декември 2019 г., когато Петър и Антон откриват, че говорят един и същи музикален език. Само месец по-късно излиза дебютният им сингъл Molten Dreams, буквално ден преди първия локдаун.
hug or handshake is an indie rock/pop band from Sofia, made up of Petar Trifonov, Anton Georgiev, Viktor Ivanov, and Nick Nikolaev. It all began in December 2019, when Petar and Anton discovered they spoke the same musical language. Just a month later, their debut single Molten Dreams was released—literally a day before the first lockdown.
Бандата се възползва от липсата на лайфове по време на пандемията и използва времето да работи с продуцента Симеон Лозанов – Monyx и да създаде дебютния албум Once Upon A Pink Sedan (2021), посрещнат с възторжени ревюта, а Боян Дечев от Под Моста го представя така:
“Звукът е богат, топъл и детайлен, а миксът впечатлява със своята дълбочина и пространство. За мен този албум е референтен и трябва да бъде точка на сравнение за всеки артист, който прави модерна поп музика, особено тук в България.”
The band turned the lack of live shows during the pandemic into an opportunity to team up with producer Simeon Lozanov – Monyx and record their debut album Once Upon A Pink Sedan (2021). The album received glowing reviews, with Boyan Dechev from Pod Mosta describing it as:
“The sound is rich, warm, and detailed, with a mix that impresses with its depth and space. For me, this album is a benchmark and should serve as a reference point for any artist making modern pop music, especially here in Bulgaria.”
