What better way to start a new season than by playing with new beginnings? Join us as we kick off the new TaM season with Beginning Again, an evening of improv, play, fresh choices, and seeing what happens next.

Every beginning comes with a little uncertainty. We don’t quite know what will happen next, which direction things will take, or whether the choice we’re making is the right one.
Improv gives us a playful way to practice exactly that.
In this workshop, we will explore what it means to begin again, in a scene and beyond. We will work with core principles of improv theatre such as accepting what is already there, making clear choices, reacting honestly, committing to an idea, and allowing something unexpected to change the direction of a scene.
This time, we will also put a little more focus on acting and scene work: creating characters, playing relationships, exploring emotions, and discovering what happens when we stop trying to plan the perfect next move.
Together, we will explore three questions:
• How can we make strong choices without knowing where they will lead?
• How can we let go of a plan and respond to what is actually happening?
• What makes a scene, a character, or a moment feel alive and open to possibility?
You don’t need any improv or acting experience. The workshop is designed for curious humans who want to play, experiment, connect with others, and perhaps discover a slightly different way of approaching the unknown.
Improv is our playground, but what we practice there doesn’t have to stay on stage.
